I've decided to commit myself to a workout routine on a daily basic. I MUST lose weight! I MUST!! My asthma has been something awful the last 2 years and I know that my weight has something to do with it.
I have a blood clotting disorder called "Factor V" and my weight doesn't help this. My mom has been the lucky one to welcome "heart conditions" to the family. My weight plays in this. A few of my Uncles and my Grandpa have Diabetes. My weight could cause me to have it, as well. So yeah, IT'S TIME!!
Today was technically my first day. I did a load of Laundry, looked at the clock and said to myself, "9:00, sounds like a good time to work out." So I asked J.J. ever so nicely if I could have the TV. He told me no, so I took it anyway and put in my Zumba CD.
Zumba: is a dance fitness program created by dancer and choreographer Alberto "Beto" Perez in Colombia during the 1990s. The program combines Latin and international music with dance in an effort to make exercise fun. (Thank you Wikipedia)
It will make you dance your ass off. Plain and simple. I was winded while doing the WARM UP! But it's like dancing so its a little easier to sweat too. Anyway, I'm really proud of myself. My biggest challenge wasn't doing the actual work-out or even my asthma, it was trying to work out while my son was needed everything at that very moment.
So here's to day one of the rest of my life. I'm tired of being tired and I'm tired of calling myself Fat and cracking jokes at my own expense. Tomorrow, my treadmill will be moving at 9AM and Tim Ezell will have my full attention. I plan on timing myself and gradually increasing the time of my workout. I think for this week I'll stick with the half hour....... to be continued..........
I am so proud of you!!! I love you and I want to do it with you!!!!!!!
